Dyret

Gunnar Bingen of Norway developed the Dyret (translated from Norwegian – “animal”) to imitate caddis on rough water.  It has since tied in many sizes and colors to imitate anything from midges to large attractors. The hackle is sometimes clipped on the bottom to create a flush floating fly. To see Hans Weilenman tie the original go to youtube.com/watch?v=ucDingpugMs.
