CDC Egg Laying Caddis

Most anglers are always on the lookout for caddis emergences.  However, another prime time to fish can be during egg laying time.  Different species exhibit different methods of depositing eggs but most end up on the surface during some stage of the cycle.  This pattern is for the Hydropschye species which is one of the most wide spread caddis in the country, east and west.  The original, as tied here, has a body of CDC from a dubbing spool.  I can no longer find these spools available.  Loose CDC dubbing is available as a substitute.
