Simple is often times better. This imitation created by Ben McNinch is certainly simple to tie.  Being the manager of Headhunter’s Fly Shop in Craig MT exposes one to the tremendous catches hatches that can come off the Missouri River.  Any pattern that proves effective there is worth tying and trying on your local water.  The fly is just body and wing.  It is tied on a scud type hook so that the rear of the body dips below the surface film.
