This fly was shown to me quite a few years ago by friend and PWTU member Mike Hedgedus. He developed it to meet the often frustrating fishing encountered during caddis emergences. This easy to tie pattern has proved successful for me and has become a permanent addition to my fly box. The body is looped dubbed to provide the shaggy appearance that is necessary for the fly to be effective. The material I use is the zelon dubbing blends sold by Blue Ribbon Flies in West Yellowstone MT. It is available in all the colors needed to imitate any emerging caddis. The wing is tied short and sparse. After completing the fly tease the dubbing back to create the proper silhouette.
