Invented by Craig Matthews at Blue Ribbon Flies, the DOA is a sulfur cripple pattern. To tie, wrap back to bend and tie in amber antron. Dub the body. Tie in white antron for the wing over the hook eye. Wrap under the antron to set the wing at a 45 deg angle forward. Clip the wing antron over the body. Wrap the cream hackle behind the wing tie in point. Wrap the hackle to cover the tie in point. Make 4 or 5 wraps of hackle. End with one wrap in front of the wing. Finish the head. Clip the hackle on the bottom flush with the hook point. Go fishing when the sulfurs are on in the summer.
