This is another flush floating sulfur pattern that should be used over heavily fished trout. There are alot of steps in tying this fly and that might turn-off some tiers but I think the extra effort is worth it. To tie this fly start at the rear of the hook and tie in some Mayfly Brown antron (available from Blue Ribbon Flies, West Yellowstone MT). Next, tie in a yellow dyed hackle stem and an orange sulfur turkey biot, wrap the biot up to the 1/3 mark of the hook then spiral the hackle stem up to the same point and tie off. Next, tie in about 8 strands of clear antron spinner wing style and trim the antron to represent legs, Next, dub sulfur orange dubbing behind and in front of the legs. Finally, cut a clump of white or cream snowshoe hair, remove the underfur, and tie in as a wing . I’ve had luck with pattern from PA to Montana when sulfurs were on the water.
